Introducing the inaugural Asheville Buskerfest!… A River Arts District Artists benefit… The Asheville BuskerFest is a community celebration of our incredibly vibrant street performing culture. Come and enjoy some great scheduled street performances, and spontaneous gatherings as well.

Spread across multiple stages around the city, including the Round at Pritchard Park, Downtown Asheville, and in the River Arts District, stages at; All Souls Pizza, RAD Brewing Co, and the Wedge Brewery at Foundation in conjunction with The Marquee. Artist booths, other vendors, food and drinks will be available in these areas down in the River Arts District.

What is a Busker and a BuskerFest?

A busker is a street performer with jugglers, magicians, musicians and other types of street performance artists. They add color, humor and joy to a city’s vibe with their spontaneous “on the corner” and “in the parks” performances. They play for tips. A BuskerFest is a festival that celebrates a city’s street performing culture in a set location with set performance times, and has other attractions like art, food, and drink.

What is it?

This year's festival will take place at Pritchard Park in Downtown Asheville and supporting the River Arts District renewal initiatives, in conjunction with RAD Renaissance at; All Souls Pizza, RAD Brewing Company and the Marquee/Wedge Brewing Foundation.

Saturday May 2nd, and Sunday May 3rd

Does it cost anything?

FREE! And ALL AGES!

What about inclement weather?

The show must go on, unless it is a major weather event. So rain or shine. Although it is encouraged to check the forecast ahead of time and always be aware of your surroundings in the event of severe weather and having a safe place to shelter.

Is there transportation?

The performances at Pritchard Park downtown Asheville are in the center of town. There will be Tukit Taxis in the River Arts District. We are also encouraging folks to ride their bikes! Otherwise, you can check bus schedules here.
